Mauricio Pochettino has called on the Chelsea fans to do their bit for the club in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool today. The Blues make the short strip across London to face Jurgen Klopp's Reds in the showpiece final.

Liverpool will go into the contest as favourites, given their season so far. The Reds are top of the Premier League and fighting for an historic quadruple.

The Blues, meanwhile, are tenth and have had an indifferent campaign, but a draw with champions Manchester City felt like a bit of a turning point.

Going into the clash, Liverpool have a host of injury concerns and the teamsheet will be interesting to see an hour before kick-off at Wembley. Chelsea have their own injury issues, but Pochettino's squad will not be as limited as Klopp's for the contest.

Ahead of the match, Pochettino has penned an open letter to the Blues faithful. Posted on the club's official website, Pochettino said: "Today at Wembley we can create something special. A memory that lives with us all. A moment that endures."

And Pochettino believes the supporters have a huge role to play inside England's national stadium on Sunday. The Argentinian made reference to the patience they have shown so far in a difficult season and called on them to get behind the team at Wembley.

He added: "Finals have this power. They unite us. Families will come together and be connected in their emotion. Friends will share this experience and be bonded.

"We all believe in our players and the way we work. This season has not always been easy, that is the reality. But the trust between us as a team has remained really strong.

"That has helped us reach Wembley and it will help us in this final. Now we must do what Chelsea do. Win.

"You, the supporters, will help us. We know this. You have been patient and defended us in our hard moments. You have celebrated and enjoyed our steps forward."
