Aston Villa's final Premier League position has been predicted by a supercomputer, and fans will no doubt love the results.

Villa are enjoying an impressive season under manager Unai Emery and are looking to continue that form into the second half of the campaign as they go in search of Champions League qualification. They currently stand in fourth place in the table, five points adrift of leaders Liverpool.

Emery's side didn't take to the pitch last weekend as the Premier League's staggered winter break kicked in, meaning the players could enjoy a rare opportunity to rest up ahead of what is expected to be a busy few months.

A supercomputer has attempted to predict how those final months will go, offering a glimpse into how the final Premier League table will look at the end of the season. The supercomputer provided by Bettingexpert, known as BETSiE, has predicted that Villa will finish the season in fourth place.

It has been predicted that Villa will amass a total of 72 points after their 38 top-flight games, and in doing so secure Champions League football for next season.

Liverpool are predicted to win the Premier League title with 82 points, three points ahead of second-placed Manchester City. In third place is Arsenal, who are predicted to reach the 78-point mark at the end of the season, which would be six more than Aston Villa.

Missing out on Champions League football is Tottenham Hotspur, who are tipped to amass 65 points. Other notable clubs in the predicted Premier League table include Chelsea in seventh place, Newcastle United in eighth and Manchester United in 10th.

Villa do not play a Premier League game until January 30, when they host Newcastle at Villa Park. Before then, Emery and Co. will face Chelsea in the fourth round of the FA Cup this Friday.
