Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury in the defeat at Manchester United on Tuesday, while Youri Tielemans remains unavailable for selection ahead of the Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday.

The Belgian midfielder picked up a calf injury in Villa’s 1-0 win over Arsenal earlier this month and has since missed the club’s last four matches in all competitions. Meanwhile, Villa have been boosted by the return of Pau Torres - who was an unused substitute at Old Trafford after he recovered from an ankle injury - but he is still working his way back to full fitness.

Matty Cash returns from a one-game suspension which he served on Tuesday after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United. Boubacar Kamara remains out as he completes his three-match suspension this weekend.

Burnley head to Villa Park on the back of a home defeat to Liverpool, but are unbeaten in their last two away games. They beat Fulham 2-0 last week after holding Brighton to a point earlier this month.

Villa dropped points in their last two after failing to beat bottom club Sheffield United at home before then surrendering a two-goal lead against Manchester United. The Red Devils came back to win 3-2, but remain eight points behind Villa.

Speaking of his side’s team news for Burnley, Emery said: "Lucas Digne is injured and he will be out of the team for some weeks.

"He was playing very good, but we have to try now to replace him with Alex Moreno after his long injury. I think Moreno is ready and we hope he is coming back in 20, 25 days, Lucas Digne."
