Sebastien Haller 'offered to Manchester United, Chelsea in January'
Manchester United and Chelsea were both reportedly offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Sebastien Haller during the January transfer window.

According to HITC Football, the experienced Haller was offered to both teams in the latter stages of the window, in addition to Newcastle United, but a move did to come to fruition.
Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham also allegedly considered moving for Haller before the market closed, with Dortmund making it clear that he was available on loan.
The 29-year-old has found it difficult to make his mark for BVB during the 2023-24 campaign, only managing two goals in 14 appearances in all competitions, and he has failed to register in 11 Bundesliga outings.
Haller previously played in English football for West Ham United between 2019 and 2021, making 54 appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists in the process.
The forward then moved to Ajax, starring during his time with the Dutch outfit, where he played under Man United head coach Erik ten Hag, scoring 47 goals and registering 16 assists in 66 matches for the club.
Haller joined Dortmund in July 2022, and he has played 36 times for the German team, scoring 11 goals and registering five assists in the process.
The striker was diagnosed with testicular cancer shortly after making the move to BVB and underwent treatment before being given the green light to return to training in January 2023.
Haller, who has a contract with his current side until June 2026, has played once for Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, making his return from injury against Senegal in the round of 16.
The forward will spend the remainder of the season with Dortmund before a decision is made on his future during this summer's transfer window.
Both Man United and Chelsea are set to move for new forwards at the end of the campaign, with the latter believed to be determined to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
The two clubs face huge battles to qualify for next season's Champions League, though, with Man United seventh in the table, nine points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, while Chelsea are 10th, 13 points off the top four in England's top flight.
