Arsenal star Jurrien Timber sends emphatic two-word title message after Man United win

Latest Arsenal news with Jurrien Timber sending a clear Premier League title message after the win against Manchester United

Jurrien Timber will hope to feature in Arsenal's final Premier League game of the season this weekend against Everton. The Netherlands international has been working toward a senior return for the last two months however he is yet to see any minutes after a significant spell out with a knee injury.

Over the last few weeks, Mikel Arteta has hinted that Timber could feature but the Arsenal boss is yet to give the green light. Despite confirming that his entire squad was available to face Bournemouth last weekend, Timber was still left out with Arteta opting for players considered to be sharper.

Even though Arteta repeated his Timber decision for the Man United clash, at least some progress was made towards a potential comeback. The 22-year-old travelled to Old Trafford with the rest of his team-mates as the extra man, whereby he would come into the squad if their was a late change due to injury or illness.

Despite not being involved in a playing capacity, Timber was still on hand to offer his support and make his feelings clear. On Instagram stories, he posted a photo of player of the match William Saliba following his superb defensive display which helped the Gunners keep a clean sheet.

Leandro Trossard scored the decisive goal against United and subsequently also took to social media to celebrate the win. In an Instagram post, he wrote: "Down to the wire!" - Timber then replied: "Ja Ja," which translates from Dutch to English as simply, "yes yes."

With Timber making his thoughts clear, Arsenal know exactly what they must do against Everton on Sunday, but first they need a helping hand from rivals Tottenham. On Tuesday evening, Spurs play host to Man City where a victory for the latter will see them go top and into the driving seat.

However, a defeat or even a draw, because of their superior goal difference, will see the Gunners remain at the summit and head into the final day of the season knowing a win, unless Man City can significantly outscore them, will crown them Premier League champions.
