Chelsea handed fresh Victor Osimhen transfer boost as agent 'holds talks' over deal
Latest Chelsea transfer news and gossip with updates on Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Juventus forward Federico Chiesa
by Mark Wakefield · football.londonChelsea are continuing their preparations for the new Premier League season under new manager Enzo Maresca. The Blues are currently in the United States for their pre-season tour but have been handed cause for concern in their recent fixtures.
Chelsea lost to Celtic in their previous match and were held to a draw with League One club Wrexham earlier this month.
With the summer transfer window open the Blues are continuing to be linked with a host of possible new signings before the September 2 deadline. It remains to be seen which players will be identified as targets, with five new players already arriving at Stamford Bridge since the window opened.
With that in mind, football.london has taken a look at some of the latest Chelsea news and gossip that has been making headlines over the last 24 hours.

Victor Osimhen boost
Chelsea have reportedly been handed a boost in their apparent quest to sign Victor Osimhen.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the Napoli striker this summer, whose future continues to be the subject of speculation. Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in signing Osimhen.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are prepared to swoop in and beat Chelsea to the signing of Osimhen this summer. However, the report claims that the 25-year-old's preference would be to sign for the Blues over the Gunners were he to move to the Premier League.
football.london says: Osimhen has been heavily linked with Chelsea for several months, and the rumours will not go away until he either signs a new contract or joins a new club. The striker may have his heart set on a move to either Chelsea or PSG if the latest reports are to be believed, and if this is the case it should be a priority deal for the Blues to complete if a new striker is wanted.
Federico Chiesa talks
Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Juventus forward Federico Chiesa this summer.
According to Italian news outlet Gazzetta, the Blues have been in contact with Chiesa's agent, Fali Ramadani, with talks being held in London over a potential deal. Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have all been credited with an interest in the winger.
Juventus are reportedly willing to allow Chiesa to leave the Turin club on a permanent deal this summer with his contract set to expire in 2025. Reported price tags have been quoted at around €25million (£21million) to €30million (£25million).
football.london says: Chelsea being linked with signing Federico Chiesa is not too surprising.
It's possible that Chelsea may indeed hold an interest in Chiesa, with talks among agents always a possibility for players who are seemingly heading for the exit door. However, given the Blues' wealth of options in the wide forward department it's not likely to be a priority at the present time.
