Chelsea can complete Jadon Sancho transfer on two 'conditions' amid Enzo Maresca dream scenario

Chelsea transfer news as details over Jadon Sancho's future in the final days of the summer emerge

by · football.london

By the time the summer transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday, Chelsea's attacking line-up could be one of the most dangerous in world football.

Enzo Maresca has already signed Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Marc Guiu this summer, adding to the likes of Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku.

With just days remaining of the window, the Blues continue to be tipped to add further firepower in the final third. Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney are two targets at centre-forward while a surprise move for Jadon Sancho has emerged in the last 48 hours.

Manchester United are understood to have opened talks over a possible swap deal that would see Raheem Sterling move to Old Trafford and Sancho come the other way.

The deal remains at the early stages with a number of details required to be ironed out. One key factor in Chelsea's move for Sancho is Juventus' interest in the 24-year-old, something that could impact the swap move.

Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Juve have to meet two conditions in order to bring Sancho to Turin. It's been claimed that the Serie A side must convince a loan deal until the end of the season and would need United to pay the vast majority of the winger's wages.

There's a strong possibility that Sancho could move to Italy if those conditions were to be met. However, for Chelsea, the Sterling interest from Old Trafford could help bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Getting Sterling's wages, or a large percentage, off the books would be crucial for Maresca's team and agreeing a swap deal could work in both teams preferred option. United are, though, adamant on not overspending after already signing four players.
