Gary Neville sends Liverpool warning ahead of Premier League title clash against Arsenal
Liverpool dropped points in the Premier League title race with Arsenal now top of the table following their 2-0 win against Brighton at the Emirates Stadium.
by Sam Hill · football.londonGary Neville has warned Liverpool ahead of their Premier League title clash against Arsenal at Anfield next weekend. The Reds dropped to second in the table following a 0-0 draw against Manchester United on Sunday evening.
Arsenal have now reclaimed top spot in the Premier League after securing a 2-0 win against Brighton earlier this afternoon. Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz were enough to take all three points as the Gunners put in a dominant performance against the Seagulls.
Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta was overjoyed with his team's performance as they controlled the game and took their chances when it mattered. "Outstanding," the Spaniard said.
"Incredible from start to the end. Big compliment to the team against a top side.
"We had and incredible performance and fully deserved to win the game I think. I have to praise them because I know how hard it is and what Brighton do to teams. We didn’t allow that to happen and I’m so happy."
Next weekend's trip to Merseyside represents a huge test of Arsenal's title credentials as they look to end a run of 13 games without a win at Anfield. The Gunners will head into the game just a single point above Liverpool as they look to stay top of the table at Christmas.

However, Neville believes Jurgen Klopp's side could be in trouble if they put in a similar performance to that which saw them fail to win against United. Speaking during commentary at Anfield, Neville said: "Every game is different but if Liverpool were playing like this against Arsenal next weekend, they’d be down two or three goals right now."
