Raheem Sterling has sent a message to Chelsea's rivals after his important cameo against Nottingham Forest.

The Blues claimed a 3-2 victory over Forest in the Premier League clash at the City Ground on Saturday. Sterling was on the score sheet alongside Mykhalio Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson to secure the three points in the East Midlands.

Mauricio Pochettino's side had taken the lead with Mudryk's goal but found themselves trailing 2-1 thanks to strikes from Wily Boly and Callum Hudson-Odoi for Forest.

Sterling was named on the bench by Pochettino but was introduced in the 73rd minute, just a minute before Hudson-Odoi put Forest in front.

Less than ten minutes later, Sterling was finding the back of the net to equalise for Chelsea. The England international's goal was then followed just a couple more minutes later by a header from Jackson which secured the three points for the Blues.

Hours after the game, Sterling took to social media to send a message to Chelsea supporters - and his club's rivals. The 29-year-old pointed to the Blues' run-in in the quest to qualify for Europe.

"Never stop believing," wrote Sterling on Instagram. "Ready to give everything we’ve got for this European push. Two huge games left."

Chelsea captain Reece James, who made his long-awaited return from injury with his cameo from the bench, left a comment on Sterling's post. The right-back simply wrote: "Ma brother," which had been liked more than 1,700 times.

As Sterling wrote, Chelsea now have just more Premier League fixtures remaining this season. The Blues will travel to face Brighton in midweek before concluding their campaign against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge next Sunday.

Chelsea are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table and battling to qualify for either the Europa League or Europa Conference League. The Blues are three points ahead of eighth-placed Manchester United, who face Arsenal on Sunday and level on points with Newcastle who are sixth and six behind Tottenham Hotspur in fifth.
