Newsboy’s horseracing tips for Friday’s four meetings, including Musselburgh Nap

Newsboy fancies his nap, Deep Charm, to win at Musselburgh and also hopes Heathen can score at Southwell and complete his Daily Double

DEEP CHARM looks ripe for the hat-trick in the Tote Placepot, Win Without A Winner Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase (12.10, nap) at Musselburgh today.

Stuart Coltherd’s 10-year-old son of Kayf Tara hasn’t been an easy horse to get to the track – he’s had just 16 career starts over obstacles.

But Deep Charm is thriving this winter, doubling his tally over fences with an 18-1 success at Sedgefield at the end of November.

But there looks to be more to come in his current rich vein of form and Edward Austin’s mount gets the Nap vote to give his rivals weight and a beating.

After scoring over course and distance two starts ago, the David O’Meara five-year-old went under by a head to Oneforthegutter a week ago but can get back to winning ways from the same mark.
