by Charlie Bennett · Manchester Evening NewsManchester United could be helpless from losing loanee Sergio Reguilon next month, according to reports.
The Spaniard arrived at Old Trafford in the summer amid a left-back crisis, with Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw sidelined. He has been a rare positive in an otherwise underwhelming start to the 2023-24 campaign.
However, a report from Sky Germany has claimed Borussia Dortmund are considering an approach for Reguilon in January. The defender has 18 months left on his Tottenham Hotspur contract and the London outfit could cash in to optimise any transfer fee.

Should he leave, Erik ten Hag may be forced to enter the market for another left-back. The position has been the root of many United woes, with Sofyan Amrabat even having to deputise there earlier in the season.
Elsewhere, Donny van de Beek is close to ending his Man United nightmare, as confirmed by the MEN. He's made just 35 Premier League appearances since joining in 2020 and the player has failed to justify the £40million fee paid to Ajax.
Some predicted Ten Hag’s appointment would re-energise the midfielder given their working relationship at Ajax. But the move has ultimately proven a disaster and Van de Beek is expected to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan once the window opens. This story was confirmed by the MEN and now outlets in Germany are reporting some more of the details.
The Bundesliga outfit are expected to pay an initial £2million loan with with a view to permanently moving for around £12.5million in the summer. Frankfurt will lose midfielders Ellyes Skhiri and Fares Chaibi to the African Cup of Nations and Van de Beek will provide solid cover.
