The latest round of midweek Premier League fixtures are here, with tonight's fixtures potentially having huge permutations on the race for the title and the top four.

Arsenal remained at the top of the table following Declan Rice's dramatic late winner at Luton Town on Tuesday evening, opening up a five-point gap to second-placed Liverpool. Manchester City will be hoping to return to winning ways after three consecutive draws, but face a tough task as they travel to the West Midlands to take on high-flying Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are involved in arguably the pick of the games this evening, as they welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag will be hoping his side can bounce back from their lacklustre display against Newcastle United at the weekend.

There are four other fixtures taking place on Wednesday night, including Jurgen Klopp's sides trip to Sheffield United. The midweek round of games conclude tomorrow evening as Eddie Howe's side face Everton, with Spurs taking on West Ham in the London derby.

But for those wanting to relive all the action from each fixture, Match of the Day will be on hand to bring you all the highlights - here is how you can watch it and the running order.

How to watch Match of the Day tonight

Match of the Day will be shown on BBC One at 10:40pm. Viewers can watch for free on the programme or stream using BBC iPlayer - it will finish at 12:10am.

What is the running order?

The running order has not yet been confirmed. The running order is decided upon by the programme editor once all the matches have taken place.

The order can be dictated by the quality of the game, the importance of the result in deciding the title or relegation, or purely by the amount of goals scored. For this evening's games, you can imagine both Manchester clubs will be close to the start of the programme given the context of both fixtures.
