We simulated Newcastle Utd vs Manchester United to get a score prediction

Man Utd travel to Tyneside this weekend, as they face Newcastle United at St. James' Park.

Manchester United will be looking to secure their fourth successive Premier League win this weekend, as they take on Newcastle United at St. James' Park.

United's form in the Champions League has been patchy at best, with the Reds drawing 3-3 with Galatasaray in midweek, but Ten Hag's side have no such issues in the Premier League, having won their last three league games in a row without conceding. Both sides will be missing several key players for this game, with Newcastle set to be without at least 10 players and United set to be missing at least eight, including Mason Mount, Jonny Evans and Casemiro.

So, can United continue their winning ways in the league on Saturday? Let's take a look.

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Newcastle could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Kaminski; Mengi, Lockyer, Osho; Kabore, Nakamba, Barkley, Doughty; Townsend, Ogbene; Morris.

Manchester United were simply hopeless in the first half of this simulation, with Ten Hag's side finding themselves 2-0 down at half-time, and it could have been even worse. Two goals from Miguel Almiron gave United a hill to climb, with the winger's second goal coming just before the break.

The Reds needed a big improvement in the second half to stand any chance of getting anything from this game, and that's exactly what happened, with the away side being completely dominant in the proceeding 45 minutes.

Ten Hag's side grabbed a goal back on the hour mark through Anthony Martial, with the striker glancing home a header following Bruno Fernandes' corner. United continued to put pressure on the home side and it eventually paid off, with Marcus Rashford scoring the equaliser in injury time.

Martial was involved once again, cutting in from the left and feeding Rashford centrally, with the striker holding off a defender before powering a shot into the near post.

United were far from their best in this game, but their second-half performance meant a draw was a fair result overall, despite Newcastle's dominant first-half.

The transfer window will soon close and although United got their hands on three players well in advance of the September 1 deadline, with Rasmus Hojlund joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana at Old Trafford, activity has stalled since Hojlund's announcement.

A goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker were Erik ten Hag's priorities heading into the summer window, but injuries early on in the season mean United are in need of further reinforcements.
