Nigeria-born striker, Chido Obi-Martin, has officially confirmed his exit from Arsenal.

Obi-Martin revealed he is leaving the Gunners in an Instagram post on Monday.

He posted himself in the club’s red and white kit and captioned it: “Arsenal, thank you”.

The 16-year-old scored five hat-tricks in the final nine matches of the Under-18 Premier League season last term.

The tally included a seven goal haul in a nine-goal win over Norwich and five goals when the young Gunners beat West Ham 8-1.

Obi-Martin leaves Arsenal upon the expiration of his contract, despite talks with manager Mikel Arteta, who tried to convince him to stay.

The Denmark U17 international, a regular for the U18s this season, is being linked with Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
