Highlights! Victor Henry puts Rani Yahya out to pasture with brutal TKO | UFC Vegas 91
by Dan Hiergesell · MMAmania.comVictor Henry may have retired Rani Yahya earlier tonight (Sat., April 27, 2024) at UFC Vegas 91 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping the Brazilian veteran with a third-round TKO (punches).
This was Henry’s fight from the opening bell. The bantamweight fighter was a heavy favorite and didn’t put himself in any unnecessary danger. Henry avoided Yahya’s submission traps and landed anything he wanted to on the feet.
Yahya lasted into the third round, but the writing was on the wall. He could barely defend himself and offered zero offense in return. This allowed Henry to a huge head kick followed by punches that put Yahya on the brink of defeat. The referee warned the veteran to defend, but he had nothing left. The fight was waved off and Henry walked away with the TKO stoppage.
Check out the final moments in the above video player.
Henry, 36, is now 3-1 (1 NC) since entering the promotion just over two years ago. The journeyman fighter has shown glimpses of his potential, but tonight Henry put it all together to score one of the most meaningful victories of his 31-fight career.
