· CBS SportsFantasy football draft prep is in full swing, but not everyone has the time to memorize NFL depth charts. That's where having a reliable set of live-updated 2024 Fantasy football rankings comes in handy, giving you position-by-position breakdowns that adjust to the latest NFL news. Steelers running back Jaylen Warren suffered a hamstring injury this preseason and could miss multiple weeks to begin the season. How far should you move Warren down the 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings and how is Najee Harris' stock impacted with those two battling for carries all offseason? With unbiased 2024 Fantasy football picks, you can ensure you're prepared before you go on the clock. If you're looking for 2024 Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.
Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He'd go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he'd finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.
The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.
The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice and the latest Fantasy football tiers.
Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football cheat sheets 2024 and draft advice, along with its top Fantasy QB, WR, RB and TE picks. Head to SportsLine now to see them.
Top 2024 Fantasy football QB rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football QB picks:
1. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: Hurts would be the first to tell you that he wasn't happy with his 2024 season, but the productivity was still there for Fantasy owners. He threw for 3,858 yards and 23 touchdowns (both career-highs) but did even more damage on the ground, serving as Philadelphia's primary goal-line ball carrier and rushing for 605 yards and 15 touchdowns. He should continue in that role and the Eagles are hoping he'll cut down on turnovers to put together even better numbers in 2024.
2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: It's understandable that there would be some concern with Stefon Diggs no longer on the roster but this was always a team built around Allen's tremendous skillset. The fact that Keon Coleman appears to be quickly building a rapport helps ease those concerns. However, the reality is that Allen is still the same dude who has been QB1, QB1, QB2 and QB1 the last four years.
3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Jackson is now a two-time NFL MVP after completing 67.2% of his passes and 3,678 yards (both career-highs) while also throwing for 24 touchdowns with only seven interceptions. He also rushed for 821 yards and five touchdowns, and now he should benefit from having Derrick Henry join him in the backfield to draw attention away. See more top QBs here.
Top 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football RB picks:
1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: McCaffrey had a bit of a scare with a calf injury in training camp, but he's been spotted at practice working out as it seems he should be in line to play Week 1. Even with the injury concerns, it's hard to imagine taking anyone else as RB1 over McCaffrey unless he had a setback during recovery. McCaffrey had more than 100 points more than any other running back in PPR scoring last season and he's finished as an RB1 or RB2 overall in each of the last four seasons he's played a full slate of games.
2. Breece Hall, New York Jets: Hall was the first running back selected in the 2022 NFL Draft (Round 2, No. 36 overall) and he proved why last season with the ability to be a key playmaker both rushing and receiving. Hall rushed for 994 yards despite facing crowded boxes all season long with the Jets having arguably the worst quarterback play in the league. He led all running backs with 76 receptions last year. The Jets will be vastly different this season with Aaron Rodgers back from injury, but regardless, Hall will be a huge part of the offense.
3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles didn't give Barkley a three-year, $37.75 million deal in free agency for him to be just a complimentary piece. Jalen Hurts has led the NFL in rushing touchdowns (28) over the last two seasons, but Barkley can take some of the goal-line pressure off Hurts. Even with Barkley being virtually the only offensive threat on the Giants last season, he still posted 1,242 total yards over 14 games (88.7 yards per game) and without coaches able to focus solely on stopping him, he could have a huge season in Philly. Top 2024 Fantasy football WR rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football WR picks:
1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: The 25-year-old has steadily improved each season of his professional career, racking up 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023. Lamb finished as the WR1 in Fantasy points per game, and he closed the season by surpassing 100 receiving yards in seven of his final 12 games. He ranked fourth in the league in target share and fifth in yards per route run.
2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Hill finished second overall at his position last season with nearly 300 Fantasy points, averaging just under 20 points per game. He had more than 1,700 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, leading the league in yards per route run (3.72). Hill is now 30 years old, but there have been no signs of regression to this point.
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: St. Brown completes the trifecta from last season, as he finished third among wide receivers with 16.5 Fantasy points per game. He finished with 1,371 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while commanding a 30% target share and 34% air yards share. St. Brown signed a massive contract extension this offseason, which made him the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL at the time. See more top WRs here.
Top 2024 Fantasy football TE rankings
Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football TE picks:
1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: Kelce's "worst" Fantasy season in nearly a decade still ranked third-best among tight ends in 2023. Just like Patrick Mahomes, he was also hurt by a lack of WR threats on Kansas City last season. With that no longer the case, defenses won't be able to double team Kelce on every play as he should resume his role as the game's elite tight end.
2. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: This stat should indicate how much confidence Lamar Jackson has in the tight end: Andrews had a 133.5 passer rating when targeted last year, which was the highest in the NFL (min. 50 targets). Andrews ranked in the top five TEs in Fantasy points every year from 2019 to 2022 and only an injury prevented him from reaching that threshold in 2023.
3. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: The rookie blasted through any proverbial rookie wall last year as he got better as the year went on. Over LaPorta's last 10 games, including the playoffs, he had at least 65 yards or scored a touchdown in eight of those games. LaPorta has drawn comparisons to Rob Gronkowski and both had 10 TDs as rookies. An interesting stat to know is that Gronk then led the NFL with 17 TDs as a sophomore, so that could be LaPorta's Fantasy ceiling. See more top TEs here.
