SportsLine's Mike McClure, a daily Fantasy pro with more than $2 million in winnings, gives optimal NBA DFS lineup advice
· CBS SportsOklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been on the verge of superstardom for a couple of years, and NBA daily Fantasy players are certainly well aware of his abilities. Now that the Thunder have arrived as serious contenders in the West, Gilgeous-Alexander finds himself in the thick of the NBA MVP conversation, and he's reached the stage where he's worthy of some level of exposure in NBA DFS lineups every time he suits up. Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.0 points, 6.4 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game, and he's shooting a career-best 54.2% from the floor heading into a matchup with the Knicks on Wednesday.
However, with his pricing up to $10,500 on DraftKings and $11,500 on FanDuel, affording him means that you'll need to identify a value play or two in the NBA DFS player pool. So who can you trust for production at an affordable rate, and what other NBA superstars should you be targeting with six games on the Wednesday NBA schedule? Before making your NBA DFS picks, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks, and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine's Mike McClure.

Top NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, December 27
For Wednesday, one of McClure's top NBA DFS picks is 76ers G/F Kelly Oubre Jr., who is listed at $5,700 on DraftKings and $5,900 FanDuel. Oubre is a proven scorer that averaged 20.3 points per game for the Hornets last season, but he joined the Sixers this offseason on a one-year deal worth only $2.9 million to show that he can help a contender as a role player.
Through 18 games in 2023-24, he's shooting 48.4% from the floor and 37.6% from the 3-point line (both career bests) while averaging 13.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals over 26.6 minutes per game. With Joel Embiid (ankle) out of the lineup on Christmas Day against the Heat, Oubre took on a more prominent scoring role and went 9-for-16 to score 25 points while also contributing seven rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block. With Embiid out again on Wednesday, he should play a prominent role once again as the 76ers take on the Magic.
Another part of McClure's optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Raptors forward Pascal Siakam ($8,000 on DraftKings and $8,600 on FanDuel). The two-time NBA All-Star is averaging 21.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 50.4% from the floor this season.
Now Siakam gets a juicy matchup against the league's worst defense. The Wizards rank 30th in the NBA in points allowed per game (126.6) and 30th in defensive rating (121.7). They also rank first in the league in pace (104.0), which could mean even more opportunities to get shots up for Siakam against their abysmal defensive unit.
