Fabio Silva is targeting trophies after getting off the mark at Rangers.

The on-loan Wolves attacker opened his account for Philippe Clement’s team with a breakthrough strike against Livingston. Silva says getting off the mark for his new club was an important moment and he’s aiming for more in the hunt for medals. The Portuguese hadn’t signed when the Viaplay Cup was won in December, but he’s got eyes on the rest of prizes entering the run-in.

Silva told Rangers TV: “Everyone is involved in this and doing everything for Rangers to win titles in the final part of the season. The most important thing was the victory and the clean sheet and, of course, I am very happy to score my first goal because it is important. It was amazing, the most important thing was the victory. We have had good results and it is important we continue with these with good moments.”

Silva showed impressive signs during the success over the Premiership’s bottom-side and he added: “It was a little bit different for me because I played against three big centre-backs and it was a bit difficult to move.

“I like to move, so they held me, but it was nice to be aware in the box, to feel when the ball comes and after I scored, I was very happy. We knew it was going to be a difficult game in the duels, we had to be prepared to be strong in the set-pieces and defensively.

“We did it in training so we tried to be aware because we know when these teams come here to our stadium they can take a little bit of advantage on set-pieces and on the duels. That is what the coach told us to be aware of before the game and the guys with more experience of course. We tried to do this,

“Starting with me and finishing on Jack Butland, we did a brilliant job in defensive and offensive, so the most important thing is the winning and now we have to prepare for the next game.”
