India Women, on Monday, December 25, named their ODI and T20I squads against Alyssa Healy's Australia.
Shreyanka Patil earned her maiden ODI call-up after she made her debut in the T20I series against England. In three matches against Heather Knight’s women, Shreyanka picked up five wickets and won the Player of the Match award in the third and final T20I of the series.
Left-arm spinner Saika Ishaque is also in the ODI squad after she first donned the national colours in the T20Is against England. Both Shreyanka and Ishaque started making a mark after playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) respectively in the 2023 Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Young pacer Titas Sadhu, who was a part of India’s U19 T20 World Cup squad earlier this year, is a part of both the squads, led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
Harmanpreet recently became the first Indian skipper to beat Australia in Women’s Tests in 1977. India won the match by eight wickets at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The three ODIs will take place at the Wankhede on December 28, 30 and January 2. The Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai will host the three T20Is on January 5, 7 and 9.
