Ranji Trophy 2023-24: Nagaland to take on Hyderabad today

Dimapur, January 4: Nagaland Senior Men’s team will take on Hyderabad on January 5 at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima in the opening match of the Ranji Trophy 2023-2024.

The last match with Arunachal Pradesh on February 2 would also be played at Nagaland Cricket Stadium.

Mention may be made that the Under-19 Nagaland team also just won the Cooch Behar Trophy finals (plate group) at the same venue on January 1, 2024.

Ranji Trophy is the premier domestic first-class cricket championship played in India and organized annually by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The teams representing regional and state cricket associations participate. The BCCI founded the championship in the year 1934, since then it is organised across various grounds and stadiums in India.

Nagaland will be playing in the Plate group and the team which finishes last in each Elite sub-group will be relegated, and both Plate group finalists will be promoted for the following season to the Elite group.

Nagaland Senior Men’s team will be touring 3 states playing away matches and 2 Home matches will be played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
