Peter O'Mahony is an injury concern after coming off in last Munster game before Six Nations
"Pete's got a couple of little bangs there, we'll see what tomorrow brings"
by Michael Scully · Irish MirrorPeter O'Mahony is a Six Nations injury concern after he was named Ireland skipper for the championship this week.
O'Mahony was involved in a heavy collision in the 60th minute of Munster's Champions Cup 26-23 defeat to Northampton Saints at Thomond Park this evening.
The 34-year-old received some treatment on the pitch and was then replaced, but didn't appear to be struggling as he came off with Ireland boss Andy Farrell present at the Limerick ground.

However O'Mahony may have suffered a hip issue and Reds boss Graeme Rowntree admitted: "With Pete, we'll get an injury report tomorrow.

O'Mahony's colleague Tom Ahern, who was named as a training panellist in the Ireland squad, appeared to suffer a knee injury and subsequently took a knee to the head in an incident that saw the Saints' Curtis Langdon red carded.
Ahern was taken off the pitch in a cart and Rowntree said he would spend the night in hospital. "With Tom, we'll see tomorrow, we'll get a report on him then," remarked the Munster supremo.
Conor Murray, who is also in the Ireland squad for the Six Nations title defence, was also due to be on the bench for the Saints game but was ill and was replaced in the matchday squad by Paddy Patterson.
Leinster and Munster are through to the last 16 of the tournament but Ulster are out after their defeat at Harlequins. The provinces will know their fate after tomorrow's final pool games.
