Derry and Donegal will meet next weekend as they face off in the Dr McKenna Cup final.

Both Jim McGuinness and Mickey Harte have been splash appointments for both sides as they chase Ulster and All-Ireland glory.

And the early season signs show that both sides will be there or thereabouts in each of the competitions they enter this year.

Although winning at this time of year is far from important, both sides will be delighted to get to a final so early in 2024 and a chance of silverware.

The final will take place on Saturday, 20 January but no venue or throw-in time has been confirmed as of yet.

Donegal comfortably dispatched of Monaghan in their semi-final this afternoon, scoring 4-14 while Derry scored an impressive 0-17 to Armagh's 2-07 on Saturday.

No purchase link is yet available for the game but it will be available to watch through Ulster GAA.
