The Dubliner led with 100m to go but was unable to keep up with Olympic Champion Paulino down the home straight as the Dominican Republic native kept her undefeated 400m record alive with a blistering finish to clock a meet record time of 48.66.
Adeleke tired massively on the home straight and slipped back from first place into fourth, with Naser (49.23) taking second ahead of crowd favourite Kaczmarek (49.95) who took third in an exact repeat of the top-three from Tokyo.
