Club in patient game to sign Tottenham player in January – Suggestion late swoop in last days of window possible

by · Sport Witness

Earlier in the transfer window, Feyenoord were one of the clubs reportedly interested in signing Tottenham’s Bryan Gil.

An offer was even made by the Eredivisie side, which was turned away by Spurs, who were hoping they could see the winger permanently.

That has yet to happen, and the more time passes, the softer Tottenham’s stance is becoming, which 1908.nl believe is exactly what Feyenoord are hoping for.

They look at a bunch of players that have been linked with moves in and out of the Dutch side, and give the latest stance from Holland regarding the Spaniard.

1908.nl recall all of the above, and point out that Gil is now receiving ‘concrete interest’ from various clubs in Spain, even if he still remains in London for the time being.

While Feyenoord are ‘no longer specific’ in their interest for the Tottenham forward, meaning they are looking at other options, the Eredivisie club also ‘bear in mind’ the fact that the 21-year-old will ‘remain available at the end of the transfer window’.

That, to us, sounds a lot like Feyenoord are very much biding their time to pounce late on for a cheap loan for Gil if he is still there in the last few days of January.
