Is Liverpool vs Newcastle United on TV, what time is kick-off and how can I follow it?
Eddie Howe takes his Magpies to Anfield for their first Premier League game of 2024
by Stuart Jamieson · ChronicleLiveThere aren't much harder games to kick off the new year than away at Anfield, so at least Newcastle United know things won't get much tougher for the rest of the season. Manchester City, Aston Villa and, of course, Sunderland may argue differently in the coming weeks, however.
Eddie Howe heads to Liverpool desperate for a positive result to help change his side's fortunes. Two damaging Christmas defeats to Luton Town and Nottingham Forest have left Newcastle somewhat off the pace when it comes to European qualification, but they know there is plenty of time to turn their form around.
Newcastle have an awful record at Anfield, but with wins against Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and PSG already this season, no one should ever write this Magpies' side off. Here's all you need to know ahead of the game.
