Is Sunderland vs West Bromwich Albion on TV, channel, kick-off time, and how to watch
Everything you need to know ahead of tomorrow's Championship game between Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion at the Stadium of Light
by James Hunter · ChronicleLiveManagerless Sunderland take on West Bromwich Albion at the Stadium of Light this weekend with the Black Cats looking to end their three-game winless run. Sunderland have picked up just one point from three games since the international break, having suffered back-to-back defeat at Plymouth Argyle and at home to Huddersfield Town, before earning a point in a 1-1 draw at Millwall last weekend.
Despite that run, Sunderland are ninth in the table and just three points outside the play-off places and a win tomorrow lunchtime could see them go sixth in the table - at least until the rest of the Championship action takes place later in the afternoon - which makes the club's decision to sack head coach Tony Mowbray on Monday night all the more perplexing. Carlos Corberan's West Brom lost at home to league leaders Leicester City on Saturday but still sit fifth in the table going into tomorrow's game.
Last time these sides met on Wearside, in December last year, the Baggies staged a second half comeback to win 2-1, extending their winning run to four games and in the process scrambling out of the relegation zone. On-loan Manchester United man Amad put Sunderland ahead from the penalty spot inside 20 minutes, after he had been brought down by Conor Townsend, but sub Tom Rogic levelled things up 20 minutes from time and another sub, Daryl Dike, headed the winner eight minutes from the end.
