Search for man in green hoodie after Derby city centre shop robbery
A man entered a Costcutter store and threatened staff while demanding money
by Oscar Fisher · Derbyshire LiveDetectives investigating a robbery at a Derby shop are appealing for footage of a man wearing a green hoodie who was seen shortly before the incident. Officers were called to the Costcutter store in Dale Road, Spondon, at around 9pm on Saturday (July 27) evening after a man entered the store and threatened staff while demanding money from the till.
He left the store with cash, vapes and some mobile phones and went down the alleyway opposite the shop. He has been described as 5ft 11ins tall, white and of slim build.
He is believed to have been aged 25 or younger and was wearing a green hoodie with a white baseball cap underneath, blue jeans and black trainers. His face was covered.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire police has said: "Detectives are appealing for footage of a man who was seen in the area shortly before a robbery at a shop in Spondon. It is understood that a man fitting this description was seen outside the shop shortly before the robbery.
"We have released an image showing a man Detectives would like to speak to about the incident and are hopeful that someone may be able to identify him via his clothing. Detectives are also urging anyone who was driving in the area around this time with a dash cam installed, or those with private CCTV in the area who haven’t yet been contacted by officers to check their footage in case it may contain something useful to this investigation."
