Gensol Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (GEVPL) has teased its upcoming electric car which will make its debut next year in March. Gensol is involved in the ride-hailing business as well, with BluSmart which has an EV only fleet of cars.

The Gensol EV is a small car, with seating for two and two doors. The design looks fairly simple, akin to small cars sold in Europe. The front has a high set nose, flanked by oval headlamps with halogen lights and LED DRLs. The body features a large glasshouse, and it rides on alloy wheels.

Gensol claims that the EV will come with a range of 200km and a top speed of 80kmph, meaning that this car will be meant mainly for urban centres. The cabin meanwhile comes with an infotainment display, manual aircon controls and blacked out surfaces.

Gensol will be offering a moonroof, AI-based cloud analytics and more intelligent features with the car. The brand has as of yet not shared any specifications related to the dimensions or the drivetrain of the EV.

Commenting on the teaser, Anmol Singh Jaggi, Managing Director, Gensol Engineering Ltd. said, "With great pride, we unveil the first glimpse of our new modern car, contributing significantly to the larger mission of decarbonising the planet. Designed to address the challenges of daily city commuting, our made-in-India all-electric car is poised to revolutionise zero-emission mobility."

The Gensol EV will be manufactured at the company's facility in Chakan, Pune. This facility also comes with a testing track. Further details of the car will be revealed as the launch date gets closer.
