Apple begrudgingly allows app sideloading, third-party app stores — bemoans security risks in official announcement as tech giant bows to EU regulations
Apple is not happy about it, but the company now allows EU users to sideload apps onto its iPhones. Apple announced changes to how it handles apps on iOS in order to align with the European Union's Digital Markets Act. It also announced new App Store pricing and an App Store Fee calculator, which has some developers concerned.
