Huawei BE3 Pro arrives as new cheaper Wi-Fi 7 router

by · Notebookcheck

The Huawei BE3 Pro Wi-Fi 7 Router is now on sale in China. The new model, a successor to the Huawei AX3 Wi-Fi 6 Plus, can cover an area of around 90 m² (~970 ft²). The router delivers speeds of up to 3,600 Mbps, which Huawei suggests allows you to download a movie in five seconds.

While this is an upgrade compared to the older model, which provided 3,000 Mbps, it falls significantly short of the 46 Gbps possible top speed of Wi-Fi 7. Huawei states that the 4-channel signal amplification in the BE3 Pro improves signal strength, ensuring your Wi-Fi can be accessed in many parts of your home. Dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHZ frequencies almost double your network speed and reduce latency. Plus, Multi-RU Puncturing optimizes efficiency, and Preamble Puncturing enhances internet stability.

Other features include a 2,5000 Mbps Ethernet port and, thanks to HarmonyOS intelligent routing, a Game Turbo engine that detects many PC and mobile games and switches users to a channel exclusively for gaming. Plus, you can use the accompanying app to view insights into the Wi-Fi coverage around your home and for troubleshooting tools addressing 80 common issues. The Huawei BE3 Pro Wi-Fi 7 Router is available in China for 399 yuan (~US$56). Whether the gadget will launch in other markets remains to be seen.
