Xiaomi Redmi G Pro 2024 shows itself as new gaming laptop with unreleased Intel processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU

by · Notebookcheck

New signs of an unreleased Xiaomi gaming laptop have appeared online, a few weeks after the company introduced '2024' refreshes of the Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16. As the screenshots below show, Xiaomi is evidently preparing an equivalent update for the Redmi G Pro, a 16-inch gaming laptop that it last upgraded in late 2022.

To recap, Xiaomi sold the Redmi G Pro with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H until recently, which it complemented with a 240 Hz display and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. For its 2024 refresh, it appears that the Redmi G Pro will receive newer Intel Raptor Lake-H processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPU, although we would not rule out Ryzen 8040-based models arriving eventually, too.

At any rate, Geekbench confirms that Xiaomi will pair the Redmi G Pro 2024, also known by its codename 'TM2211', with a Core i5-14500HX processor, a GeForce RTX 4060 GPU and 16 GB of DDR5 RAM clocked at 5,586 MT/s. Incidentally, the same benchmarks reveal that the Core i5-14500HX delivers 4.9 GHz peak clock speeds across its six performance cores, a 200 MHz overclock compared to the Core i5-13500HX. All other core components remain unchanged though, such as eight efficiency cores and 24 MB of L3 cache. While a release date is unknown for now, a previous 'TM2211' leak suggests that Xiaomi has Core i9-14900HX variants planned as well.
