Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G: Camera upgraded headed to global model

by · Notebookcheck

Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 13 series a few months ago. However, the company's latest Redmi Note smartphones have maintained Chinese exclusivity since, a state that also applies to the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Based on Xiaomi's social media accounts, the Redmi Note 13 series will reach India first on its global voyage.

Unfortunately, it is unclear when the series will arrive in other markets, although the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus recently surfaced in Europe courtesy of dozens of Amazon listings. Now, @passionategeekz has revealed Xiaomi's plans to offer the Redmi Note 13 5G globally, too. Based on the images below, the current cheapest option in the Redmi Note 13 series will debut globally in Arctic White, Ocean Teal and Graphite Black colour option, matching its Chinese counterpart.

Upon closer inspection, it appears that Xiaomi has upgraded the Redmi Note 13 5G for its global release. Specifically, the device has gained a third rear-facing camera to go with its 108 MP primary sensor. While the specifications of the new camera remain unknown for now, the global version of the Redmi Note 12 5G may provide a few hints. In the latter's case, Xiaomi added an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle to the Redmi Note 12's camera hardware. Evidently, the global Redmi Note 13 5G retains its Chinese counterpart's 120 Hz AMOLED display though, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging. Please see our Redmi Note 13 5G launch article for more hardware details.
