CES 2024 | Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Gen 9: Lenovo confirms pricing and availability for Intel Meteor Lake refresh
by Alex Alderson · NotebookcheckLenovo has updated the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 to Intel Meteor Lake platform for both 14-inch and 16-inch models. For context, the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Gen 9 series forms part of Lenovo's CES 2024 showcase, of which the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 is also a part. Please note that while the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 features H-series processors, Lenovo restricts the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 to lower wattage U series options, even for the 16-inch variant.
Unfortunately, Lenovo has not confirmed which processors will be available. Instead, it has implied that there will be multiple configuration options up to a Core Ultra 7. Moreover, both machines will ship with a 71 Wh battery, as well as up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. The 14-inch and 16-inch models differ in a few areas though, including display types:
Yoga 7i 2-in-1 14 Gen 9:
- 1,920 x 1,200 LCD, 60 Hz, 300 nits, 45% NTSC
- 1,920 x 1,200 OLED, 60 Hz, 400 nits, 100% DCI-P3
- 2,880 x 1,800 OLED PureSight, 120 Hz, 400 nits, 100% DCI-P3
Yoga 7i 2-in-1 16 Gen 9:
- 1,920 x 1,200 LCD, 60 Hz, 300 nits, 45% NTSC
Unsurprisingly, the 16-inch model has a larger footprint than its 14-inch counterpart, which start at 2.1 kg and 1.49 kg, respectively. Also, while both sizes will be available in a Storm Grey colour option, only the 14-inch variant will be configurable in a Tidal Teal finish too. Conversely, the 16-inch model features an additional USB Type-A port on top of those listed below.
The Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Gen 9 will start at $849.99 in the US for the 14-inch edition and €1,099 in the Eurozone. By contrast, the 16-inch variant will start at $899.99 in the US. However, Lenovo has no plans to release the larger model in Europe. For reference, the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Gen 9 will launch in March across the Eurozone and a month later in the US.
