The three options for the location of the track are near Lanark Loch, the equestrian centre or the racecourse site.
Chair of RCDL, Val Barr, said, “Our purpose is to promote wheeled activities in the community to build confidence in physical activity and active travel. We want to give everyone the opportunity to learn, or improve their skills with bike riding, scooting or skateboarding.
“The pump track will give local people of all ages a place to meet and ride, and socialise as they hone their skills. In addition to encouraging the active travel we also want to encourage recycling and sharing of equipment, helping the environment as we go.
“We’re asking people to please take a few minutes to complete the survey and help get Lanark jumping and bumping.”
A pump track is a purpose-built track for cycling, it has a circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed to be ridden completely by riders. The track would be free to use and suitable for bikes, skateboards, scooters and wheelchairs.
Locals can complete the survey, which runs until May 31, here.
