Slime Rancher 2 continues to expand, and Monomi Park has confirmed that three more updates are on the way this year, with the first focusing on gadgets.
"Our next major content update will allow players to more fully customize the world around them with the ability to place gadgets nearly anywhere in the world," Monomi Park says. "Gadget sites will be a thing of the past allowing you to transform the Conservatory and the rest of Rainbow Island with new gadgets and decorations."
That first update can't be too far off, as Monomi Park says the second is scheduled for this summer, adding, "For now, we’re keeping the details under wraps as we firm up what will be included in this mysterious update."
A third update is currently set to follow this fall, and while the devs aren't sharing details on this one either, they promise it's "gordo-sized."
Game director Nick Popovich was able to confirm for us, before Slime Rancher 2 was released, that it would first drop into Game Preview/Early Access, and explained why it wouldn't launch with achievements. There's no word yet on when the sequel will launch in full, but we'll keep an eye out for those Slime Rancher 2 achievements.
"As always, we thank you for your continued support and patience. May you never lose your sense of wonder, and may our work never cease to delight you," Monomi Park concludes.
