The Nothing Phone 2a Plus will launch in India on July 31 and the company has revealed some specs of the upcoming Nothing phone just a few days ahead of the event. The Plus model is a more powerful version of the existing Phone 2a model and will likely be slightly more costly than this model. Here is how much the Nothing Phone 2a Plus may cost in India.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus: How much it may cost in India?
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is expected to be priced under Rs 30,000. Its sibling, the Nothing Phone 2a, was launched in March in India with a starting price tag of Rs 23,999. The more premium offering, Nothing Phone 2, was announced at Rs 44,999. Since the Plus version is a better version of the Phone 2a and it won't likely be as premium as the original Nothing phone series, the new model will likely fall under Rs 30,000 price category in India. It remains to be seen how the company will position its new Nothing phone and convince customers to buy it.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus: Confirmed and leaked specs
Nothing has already confirmed that the upcoming Phone (2a) Plus will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G processor, making it the first smartphone to launch with this chipset. The company claims that the new device will offer nearly 10 percent faster CPU performance than the Phone (2a).
"With Phone (2a) Plus, we had the opportunity to create a beefed-up version for savvy users who demand more processing power (compared to Phone 2a), and we also made some improvements that didn’t require hardware design changes. Finally, we wrapped it up with a new kick-ass variant that reflects these upgrades," the company's co-founder Akis Evangelidis explained on X.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G processor is backed by up to 12GB of RAM, which can be further expanded by 8GB through RAM Booster technology. This is done using the phone's internal storage. In terms of camera capabilities, the Nothing Phone 2a Plus will offer support for 4K video recording across both front and rear cameras, along with HDR images and HDR10+ playback. The rest of the details are yet to be officially revealed.
If leaks are to be believed, the Nothing Phone 2a Plus will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could have a 5,000mAh with a faster 50W charging speed. The device is said to come with a 50-megapixel selfie camera instead of a 32-megapixel camera seen on the Phone 2a.
