The incident, which saw a woman sexually assaulted in broad daylight, happened at 12.30pm on Glascote Road on October 22 last year.
The victim, in her 40s, was sexually assaulted by a stranger, Staffordshire Police said. The force issued an image on January 5 of a man officers want to speak to in connection with the incident.
He was wearing a thick grey puffy coat and had grey/white hair. Police encouraged anyone who could help with their investigation to get in touch or call Crimestoppers anonymously.

Staffordshire Police said on January 5: "We have issued a CCTV image of a man we wish to speak to in relation to a sexual assault in Tamworth.
"The victim, a woman in her 40s, was approached by an unknown man at 12.30pm on Glascote Road on October 22 and was sexually assaulted.
"The [man] is described as white, in his 60s, and was seen wearing a grey top and black trousers. If you have any information that could help us with our inquiries, call 101, quoting incident of 299 of 22 October, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
