Man seriously injured in shooting in Birmingham
There was a large police presence on Lodge Road in Winson Green on Sunday evening
by birminghammail.co.uk · Birmingham LiveA man was seriously injured in a shooting in Birmingham. Armed police and paramedics were called to Lodge Road in Winson Green at 10.05pm on Sunday, January 14, where they discovered a male with gunshot wounds.
The victim was treated at the scene before he was taken to hospital. The road was sealed off while police conducted investigations.
On Monday, January 15, officers remained at the scene and a cordon had been placed around a BMW. West Midlands Police has been contacted for comment.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a gunshot incident on Lodge Road at 10.05pm, one ambulance, two paramedic officers and a trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one male patient who was treated for potentially serious before being taken to hospital."
