by Mollie Quirk · The MirrorPrince Harry and Meghan Markle have appeared to snub their billionaire pal after they turned down a high-society event amid their 2024 comeback.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be attending Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster's wedding to Olivia Henson this June at Chester Cathedral. At first, reports claimed that the couple had not been invited, with it now emerging that they did, in fact, receive a save-the-date notice.

Hugh, who is worth £9.8billion, is reported to have sent the Sussexes a save-the-date note, which then led to the couple declining. Fresh reports claim that the couple decided not to take up the invitation because it would be too awkward to attend the ceremony, which will see many of their family in attendance.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to be in attendance, with Prince William reportedly ready to step up for his friend as best man. Prince George is also expected to attend the nuptials.
Speaking to Page Six at the start of December, an insider claimed that Harry had been sent a save-the-date notice, which then led to the Duke of Sussex calling the Duke of Westminster to tell him it would be "too awkward" for him and Meghan to attend.
The source said: "Harry actually got a 'save the date' card a few months ago but called Hugh and said it would be too awkward if he and Meghan Markle attended, so he made his apologies and Hugh understood."
This comes amid reports that Meghan is poised for a huge comeback this year. According to The Royal Observer, astrologer Susan Miller has said that Meghan "craves" a return to acting.
She told the outlet: "Meghan wants to go back to acting ... I don’t think the [Netflix] business plan of creating movies is the way it's going to go. I think she will go back to work."
In November, Meghan declared that she and her husband have many “exciting things” on the slate amid their Netflix deal. Speaking at a gala in LA at the time, she said: "I can’t wait until we can announce them/ But I’m just really proud of what we are creating. My husband is loving it too, which is really fun."
