Police with dogs 'chased a gang' on a busy Edinburgh street in front of shocked locals last night.
A shop worker watched cops descend on Dalry Road at around 10pm on Saturday, July 27, after reports of an incident involving a gang of youths.
The worker said officers raced towards the Dalry Colonies. They claimed a group of 'young boys' ran into their partner's shop before making off up the busy street.
Images from the scene show a police car along with several officers and a police dog standing at the corner of 31 Dalry Road.Officers were spread out along the lane leading up to Dalry Colonies, reports Edinburgh Live.
“I was working late in my partner's shop painting, when a group of boys rushed in and we told them that we were unfortunately closed," the eye witness said. "They rushed out and we became suspicious.
“They then ran up Dalry Road, and we heard sirens. A police car raced up to the Dalry Colonies, and when the police car reached the top - another kid came out from hiding and stashed his cap in a bush."
