The motorcyles are both CF Moto MT800 bikes, supplied by DG Moto in Dumfries and have been named “Heather” and “Natalie” – chosen by the Endowment Fund Trustees.
They were handed over by NHS Dumfries and Galloway chief executive Jeff Ace at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
A spokesperson for the Blood Bikes said: “Thank you to the Dumfries and Galloway Health Board Endowment Fund for their amazing support.”
The volunteer riders and drivers from across Dumfries and Galloway deliver vital items for the region’s NHS.
Since going fully operational in June 2015, the team has grown into a major charity for the region which
is much appreciated and
supported.
In the first month of operation they completed 12 runs, supporting the patients from Stranraer and Dumfries on an out of hours basis.
