Storm Henk full A52 Nottinghamshire diversion route as road closed due to flooding
Storm Henk is continuing to cause disruption across Nottinghamshire
by Sam Cooper · NottinghamshireLiveA busy stretch of the A52 remains closed on Wednesday morning (January 3) due to flooding as Nottinghamshire wakes up to disruption from Storm Henk. The county was battered by heavy rain on Tuesday, January 2.
More than 40 flood warnings are in place across the region and motorists face disruption with a number of road closures in place. The A52 is closed westbound between the A46 near Saxondale and the A6011 near Gamston.
National Highways said there was currently no estimated time for it to reopen.

A diversion route is in place. Motorists have been told to expect delays and allow extra time for their journeys.
A52 Nottinghamshire diversion route
- From the A52 Saxondale Island, take the exit onto the A46.
- At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the A6097 and continue until the village of Lowdham.
- At the roundabout with the A612 turn left, and follow the road toward Nottingham for 11.5km, then take the first exit at the A612/A6011 roundabout onto the A6011.
- After 250m, turn left onto Lady Bay Bridge and continue to re-join the westbound A52 at Gamston Island.
