Delhi gets respite from scorching heat as rain hits city
Delhi on Tuesday got a brief respite from the scorching heat as light rain hit the city. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday stood at 44 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 32 degrees Celsius.

Delhi on Tuesday got a brief respite from the scorching heat as light rain hit the city.
The change in weather has brought a much-needed respite from scorching heat to the citizens.
"Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and winds with speed of 20-30 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of few places of Delhi ( Burari, Badili, Model Town, Azadpur, Pitampura, Delhi University, Civil Lines, Punjabi Bagh, Kashmiri Gate, Patel Nagar...," the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a post on microblogging X.
The maximum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday stood at 44 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 32 degrees Celsius.
Earlier on Monday, IMD predicted that Delhi can expect a wet spell on June 3, 4 and 7. The IMD also forecasted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by very light rain. Moreover, strong surface winds with speeds ranging from 25-35 kmph, may occur and become gusty during the day.
