Exeter woman seriously injured after being hit by car
The woman in her 60s was taken to hospital last night with serious injuries
by Molly Seaman · DevonLiveA woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Exeter last night (Tuesday, November 28). At around 4.50pm, the woman, who is in her 60s, was hit by a car on Market Street, Exeter and suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Police were alerted to the incident and closed the road for much of the evening. It was reopened around 9.30pm. Emergency services attended and the scene and the woman was taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police has said: “Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Market Street, Exeter, at around 4.50pm on Tuesday 28 November.

“The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but these were not considered to be life-threatening.
“Emergency services attended the scene. Local road closures were put in place. The road was fully reopened at around 9.30pm.”
