CCTV images released after suspect headbutted man and punched woman outside Newcastle hotel

by David Huntley · ChronicleLiveA police investigation has been launched after a suspect headbutted and man and punched a woman outside a Newcastle hotel.
Officers are appealing for information after the city centre assault, which happened on Saturday, December 23, outside the Royal Station Hotel. A man and woman were approached by the unknown attacker on Neville Street just after 1am.
The suspect then headbutted the man in the face and went on to punch the woman. Both suffered serious but non life-threatening facial injuries. The suspect then left the scene with other unknown males.

A statement from Northumbria Police said: "An investigation into the assault has been launched and officers have already conducted a review of CCTV in the area. Inquiries are ongoing, and police have today (Tuesday) release an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the report.
"He was in the area at the time of the incident is reported to have taken place and officers believe he could have valuable information that may assist the ongoing investigation." The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police via the 'Report' tool on the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101, quoting log number NP-20231223-0042.
