Ron DeSantis Suspends Presidential Bid and Endorses Donald Trump

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has made a surprising decision to suspend his campaign for the Republican presidential primary and endorse former President Donald Trump. The announcement came just two days before the New Hampshire primary and was made in a video released on social media platform X, where DeSantis initially launched his bid for the White House.

In the video, DeSantis reflected on his campaign's second-place finish in Iowa and expressed his desire to push forward and deliver a favorable outcome. However, he acknowledged that there was no clear path to victory. Out of respect for his supporters and their investment of time and resources, DeSantis decided to suspend his campaign.

The governor also highlighted that a majority of Republican primary voters displayed a desire to give Donald Trump another chance. Endorsing the former president, DeSantis emphasized the need to move away from the old Republican guard and avoid a return to "warmed-over corporatism" represented by Nikki Haley.
