'Candid' questions asked about public safety, trust in police at private town hall in northeast Calgary

The meeting came on the heels of a spate of brazen, public shootings in north Calgary

An invitation-only town hall in Marlborough on Wednesday that was intended to address recent gun violence in Calgary instead included frank conversations about how to rebuild trust between Calgarians and the police.

The private gathering, organized by Ward 10 Coun. Andre Chabot, saw approximately 50 participants, including representatives from the Calgary Police Service and various community associations and agencies across northeast Calgary.
