Ice Skate Birmingham and Big Wheel announce opening date for Christmas 2024
Christmas skating will run daily in Centenary Square over the festive period

And it is opening a year earlier than last year too! It is the city's biggest all-weather festive skating rink and there are penguin skating aids for children.
The Big Wheel will be back too, offering panoramic views across Birmingham. The Ice Lounge and the City Flyer are also expected to return for Christmas 2024 too.

Festive skating will run from Friday, November 1, 2024, to Sunday, January 5, 2025. Ice Skate Birmingham will be open daily during that period from 10am to 10pm - with the only exception on Christmas Day when it is closed.
Sessions take place on the hour, every hour, with each session lasting for 45 minutes. You can buy tickets from the box office but advance booking online is recommended to avoid disappointment. Find out more and book tickets via the Ice Skate Birmingham website.
It returns to the city centre the same day as the Birmingham German Christmas Market, which also opens on November 1, running until Christmas Eve, December 24. While the Christmas in Cathedral Square Market will run between Wednesday, November 13, to Sunday, December 22.
