These are the changes to bin collections in Merseyside this festive season.
Christmas is a magical time of year, but it does generate heaps of rubbish. It is important to know when you can put your bins out over the Christmas period and get rid of some of that wrapping paper and those cardboard boxes that are suddenly cluttering your house.
For many people their bin collections usually fall on a Monday, which means it would fall on Christmas Day. However, many of the councils have brought their dates forward. Residents in Liverpool have also been reminded not to leave their green bins out for collection until Monday, February 26 as the service is suspended for winter.
