Fans of ITV's quiz show Limitless Win, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, were left disappointed when a married couple missed out on winning more than £1m. The couple, Paul and Ellie, were stumped by the question: "In the Bible, according to chapter 7 of the Book of Genesis, how many people went into Noah's Ark?" The couple were left in a quandary as they struggled to think of an accurate answer.

Meanwhile, Ant and Dec were visibly on edge as the correct answer would have earned the couple a whopping £1.25m, as reported by The Mirror.

They were contemplating locking in the answer of two but the correct answer was in fact eight and they decided instead to take the £75,000 that they had banked. Noah, his wife, their three sons and their wives made it onto the ark. If they had won the eye-watering cash prize it would have been the most won in the history of a British game show.

After their exit, Ellie said: "Oh my gosh, my blood pressure." Her husband replied: "Love you, we smashed it." The pair are now planning a relaxing break in Scotland with their dog. Dec said: "I can't believe how high we got up to."

The couple's difficult decision to not risk their £75,000 winnings was sympathised with by fans. One follower commented on social media: "Leaving with £75,000 is a lot better than leaving with zippo! Congrats! #LimitlessWin." Still, not all fan reactions were positive. Some confessed their disappointments, one said, "Damn that was disappointing." With another urging, "All they need is ONE exact answer to win over a million pounds. Come on. ONE exact answer! #LimitlessWin."

Ant and Dec's fame began in the 1990s, playing PJ and Duncan on the popular children's programme Byker Grove. Following this, the pair enjoyed success in music before embarking on a prominent television hosting career. The duo has led various popular shows, including Britain's Got Talent, Push the Button, SMTV Live, I'm a Celeb... and of course, Limitless Win.

In their shared memoir, Once Upon a Tyne: Our Story, released in 2020, the pair discuss fallouts they have had over the years. One instance took place back in 1995 while on GMTV's Fun in the Sun with Anthea Turner in Torremolinos, Spain.

In the memoir, Ant recounts a row with Dec, stating: "What the hell are you going to bed for?" He adds that something about this annoyed him and he lost his temper. As Dec attempted to leave, Ant challenged him shouting: "Don't you dare walk away from me when I'm talking to you." On hearing this, Dec hit back asking who Ant thought he was, treating him in such a manner and mentioning how Ant was really getting under his skin.

Their argument continued in the lift. When Ant tried to get his point across, Dec pretended not to hear by acting childishly as he stuck his fingers in his ears and started singing: "La la la la, I can't hear you."

With frustration growing, Ant said: "That made my blood boil... I punched Dec in the chest." Reacting, Dec attempted to punch the cap off Ant's head but missed his mark saying: "I didn't quite hit the target and ended up just punching the peak of his cap." Jokingly, he conceded: "I proved Dec is rubbish at fighting when he's had a few".
